Our Product
Colombia has the largest coal reserves in Latin America and is the fifth largest thermal coal exporter in the world. Colombian coal is recognized worldwide for having low ash and sulfur content, and being high in volatiles and in calorific value.
The coal extracted by Catercoq SAS from its own mines is a coal with a low sulfur content and an ultra-low phosphorus level. These physicochemical and metallurgical characteristics make it an excellent raw material for the manufacture of reactive coke, a material used as a reducing agent in the ferroalloy industry. It can also be used in the raw mix for the manufacture of coke from the blast furnace (steel fabrication), to provide plasticity to the coal mixture and to lower the levels of phosphorus, element this cause of the fragility of the steel.
Our product is submitted to quality studies by experts in carbon and mineral analysis; allowing us to offer a great quality product.
